Aly Malik, a Dubai-based Pakistani expat, is an enormous fan of Salman Khan. So much so that he purchased a Dubai vehicle number plate bearing the Bollywood celebrity's birthday: 27/12 under the 'S' series.
And on Tuesday, to gift the number plate - which he purchased for Dh11,400 - to, Malik vowed on the star's birthday his hero. It does not finish there. He wants the number plate to be used by Khan and after selling the plate to raise cash for Dubai Cares and Being Human, Khan's charity organisation.
Malik said: Once I used to be a model, I used to give all my income to my mother who used to contribute it to the needy individuals. So I was always into charity. Since then I was constantly following up with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) for this special number plate."
Malik also had the opportunity to meet Salman Khan a few years back. He was able to tell his hero that his favourite Salman Khan pictures include Needed and Partner.
On his particular fondness for the performer, he said: In fact, I still recall when I discovered for the first time about the brand and its cause, I went to the shop and bought Being Human T-shirts in bulk. I also wish that Salman autographs those T-shirts for me and I could put them up for sale and raise much more money for charity."
Being Human is a fashion brand by Salman Khan, that supports many underprivileged kids through the gains it earns.
