Dhani Ram Mittal is a 77-year old guy with 127 cases filed against him. In authorities records, his name appears as 'Super Natwarlal' or 'Indian Charles Sobhraj.'
He was released on bail nearly a year ago, after being arrested by law enforcement. On Friday, he was taken into custody while he was driving a stolen Santro car.
From past six decades, Super Natwarlal is committing such crimes and also after spending time in jail has not mended his ways. Dhani Ram Mittal is a dad of two and lives in the Narela in outer Delhi.
Between 1968 and 1974, Mittal who is a law graduate worked on documents that were forged. As station master, Mittal began forging driving licenses and registration documents.
Mittal told them that he'll argue his own case and did not require a lawyer, when he faced police interrogation. Pushpender, DCP (West) told he had passed LLB from Rajasthan University in 1970. Initially, he began working as a 'muneem' at the Patiala House Court that was renowned and then practices law in local courts of Delhi and Rohtak.
One of the investigators said, "He has been in and out of jail so many times that he'd more friends in jail than outside. Many of them contact him after their release and he helps them using their cases."
The DCP informed that Mittal understands the best way to forge files of nearly every transport authority. He's not unaware of the procedure to register a second-hand vehicle at the same time. He sells them to car dealers after registering the vehicles, the police said.
