Actress Tamannaah Bhatia is thrilled to be part of the yet-untitled Tamil remake of Vikas Bahl's critically-acclaimed Bollywood film Queen. The project will be helmed by veteran actress Revathi.
"Ever since I saw 'Queen', I needed to be part of its remake, although I wasn't sure if it will be remade. Why is 'Queen' particular is that it's among those rare girls-centric pictures which triumphed in reaching out to everybody, across all parts of the audience," Tamannaah told IANS about the Kangana Ranaut-starrer.
Having waited over annually for the opportunity, she said she's very excited.
"I felt liberated when I saw 'Queen', and I can not wait to start working on the remake.
The film will feature dialogues by celebrity-filmmaker Suhasini Mani Ratnam.
"I believe that it's likely to be a terrific combination. More than the usual remake, this will undoubtedly be handled as an adaptation as lots of things need to be changed to suit Tamil sensibilities," added Tamannaah.
